Morning Devotions

A cup of coffee, a slice of toast,

A pen and a pad,

A heart that's ready to receive

Directions from my Heavenly Dad.

A willing heart, a quiet wait,

Anticipation comes.

I hear His voice. He speaks to me

And all the demons run.

Taking down every word

The Master speaks to me.

Directions for my daily life,

Where will my next steps be?

The only preparation for

tomorrow is the right use of today.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me

early and diligently shall find me.
