Think on Things Pure

We've been told in the Bible to uplift and build,

To restore and encourage, not to tear down and kill.

For only out of a heart that is humble and poor

Can we love those who've hurt us and learn to endure.

My desire for today is to think on things pure

And not be drawn away by the world's allure.

We're not to be satisfied with any of Satan's crumbs

Only death will come from the power of his tongue.

Your words are windows to your heart.

The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.
