Build Your House

Except the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain.

If He raises us up then we'll never be the same.

Because only the Creator of the whole human race

Is able to show us His glory and grace.

He gives us a taste of Heaven down here,

We can now have hope and not live in fear.

Our goals will be different, our directions will be new.

If you want true happiness-- He's calling now for you.

Put others before yourself and you can

become a leader among men.

Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house would you build for Me? And what kind can be My resting-place? For all these things My hand has made, and so all these things have come into being [by and for Me], says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands.
